Carat Global Digital Agency ranked first place in Recma report
Carat has once again been named as the number one Global Media Agency Network in the latest Network Diagnostics Qualitative Evaluation report, released in December 2016. This is the eighth time in the last nine reports in which Carat has been awarded the number one position; maintaining its top slot position in the last four consecutive reports.
The agency that set up in Kenya in 2013 has extended the gap between itself and the number two player, growing its dominance from a 0.6-point lead in February 2015, to a 1.2-point lead in the latest report. The network’s performance was driven by strong market performance across the board, with by far the highest scores in the top 16 countries.
“It is great to work for a network that is moving forward and achieving. We are happy that our local achievements over the last few years also are able to contribute to the fantastic global network positioning. This result is testament to our momentum and our commitment to delivering transformational work and growth for our clients,”says ,Samantha Kipury Carat Media Director for East Africa.
Ms. Kipury says that the company’s performance could be ascribed to its ability to continue winning fiercely contested accounts in a tough market, as well as its ability to not only convince new clients that it is the agency of choice, but to service accounts beyond expectations.
Within the past year trading as Carat, we have managed to build volume not replicated by any other agency,” she says.
Kipury says that the market has become exponentially more challenging in recent years, but that this only meant agencies had to up their game.“As the market became tougher, we became tougher,” she says. “And this tenacity has paid off not only for the company, its employees and its clients, but has now seen the sterling efforts of our teams rewarded by the recognition bestowed on them by the global industry authority.”
“We have become a strong group, fully committed to operating at the cutting edge of innovation in the industry,” says Kipury
The award is based on an assessment of 17 global network agencies across 43 countries. The agencies are evaluated against between16 and19 criteria, including new business, business retention, awards, talent, and resources – specifically digital and diversified.
